Restriction on Purchase Request Creation During Configured Time Period

We have introduced a new configuration in the Inventory module to provide greater control over purchase request submissions.

Feature Details:

  • Configuration Name: "Restrict Purchase Requests for Specific Time Period"
  • Purpose: Allows businesses to define a time period during which users are restricted from raising purchase requests.
  • Behavior:
    • If this configuration is enabled in the Inventory settings, users will not be able to submit purchase requests during the specified time window.
    • Attempting to raise a purchase request during the restricted time will display an error message:
      "Requests for purchases cannot be created between [Start Time] and [End Time]. Please try again after the specified time period."






Benefits:

  • Helps streamline the purchase process by limiting activity during critical operational hours or maintenance periods.
  • Provides better control over inventory management workflows.

How to Enable:

  1. Navigate to Inventory Settings.
  2. Locate the new configuration option: "Restrict Purchase Requests for Specific Time Period."
  3. Set the desired time period and enable the configuration.
