This document will update you on some of the most amazing updates in Electron POS v118.0.1

POS updates


1. Customer info in label printer settings :

  1. We’ve added a new enhancement to the system—customer information will now be printed directly on the label printer.



2. Merge table request : Table Reservation Manager :

  1. You can now merge tables directly from the Table Reservation Manager dashboard, and the changes will automatically be reflected on the POS.

3. Print KOT/Bill from live view :

  1. To give your billers greater flexibility, we’ve introduced an option to print the KOT or bill directly from the Live View (orders view).



4. Manage date/time formatting for print :

  1. For easier understanding, you can now set the date and time format according to your preference by choosing from a list of predefined options. This provides the flexibility to adapt to your regional or operational needs.
  2. Path : POS → operations → bill/kot print → Bill/KOT printer edit page



5. Printing KOT on split bill enhancement :

  1. To give your billers greater flexibility, the system will now automatically generate a KOT print based on your KOT assignment settings, even when a bill is split into multiple parts.
  2. This applies to all types of splits—split-wise, percentage-wise, amount-wise, or by portion.

6. Swiggy "Get" bill action on Dine-in QR orders :

  1. If a customer places an order through Swiggy Dine QR, they can now initiate a request to receive the bill from the POS. When this happens, your cashier will see an option to accept the request and pass the bill details to Swiggy.



  2. If the order has already been printed, confirmed, or saved on the POS, an acknowledgement will be displayed to the cashier for the respective Swiggy Dine QR orders.

7. Map your client devices with the master terminal :

  1. While setting up your client PC, you can now directly generate and map the code from the POS settings of your master terminal.



  2. The mapping code is time-restricted and will automatically expire after a set period. For added security, a new code is generated every five minutes to ensure a secure client PC connection.

8. Enhancement in search filter on POS :

  1. You can now search orders by date and time on the Current Orders, Online Orders, and Advanced Orders screens.



  2. We’ve also added additional filters to help you quickly find the exact order you’re looking for.

9. UI changes of important icons :

  1. We’ve enhanced the UI of most icons on the POS to make them more intuitive and easier to understand.



10. BOGO discount enhancement for split bills :

  1. You can now apply BOGO offers on split bills.
  2. This enhancement allows auto-discounts configured as BOGO to work seamlessly on split bills, and you’ll also have the option to apply them manually if needed.

Owner's dashboard updates


1. Managing multiple shortcodes against the same item :

  1. You can now manage up to 5 shortcodes for a single menu item. By default, 2 shortcodes are enabled per outlet. If you’d like to enable more, please reach out to the Petpooja Support team for assistance.

2. Enabling multiple items against the single barcode :

  1. You can now enable the option to add multiple items by scanning a single barcode. To use this feature, simply turn on the configuration in your settings.
  2. Configuration path : Owners dashboard → management → configuration → outlet configuration → billing screen → connected services → barcode settings



  3. Important Note :

    If you have enabled the configuration to add multiple items by scanning a single barcode, please note that the following items will not be added to the cart :

    • Items with variations

    • Items with zero pricing

    • Open items

    • Items with multiple taxes

    • Items with variations & addons

    • Suggested items

    • Items marked as Not Available

    • Items with duplicate shortcodes (appearing in multiple item popups)

Marketplace service updates


1. Windows KDS : Bump KOT print

  1. We’ve introduced a new functionality on the KDS that allows your kitchen staff to print a copy of items as soon as they are marked as food-ready.



  2. To use this feature, you’ll need to enable the configuration in the KDS settings, which will allow KOT item prints to be sent directly to the kitchen printers. By default, this configuration will be in disabled mode.
