POS updates
1. Assignee wise summary :
- We are excited to introduce a new report in the POS reports section: the Assignee-Wise Summary.
- This report allows you to conveniently view reports for each rider directly from the POS.
- Path to configure : Reports → Assignee wise summary

2. Zomato : Cake photo is now supported
- For outlets with Zomato's cake photo configuration enabled, we have activated the Photo Cake functionality at the POS level.

- Your cashiers can now view, download, and print the cake photo before marking the Food ready status and after accepting the order. There are several pages from where you can access this image : Order live view (info section) and Online orders (view details) page.

- The downloaded files of photo cake will be stored on your desktop.
- You can view the photo cake in preview mode as displayed below :

- This feature enables you to preset a list of menu items to appear as suggestions under selected menu items.

- For example, you can set soft drinks as suggested items under pizza, all from your menu management section.
- This workflow empowers you to upsell menu items according to your preferences and maintain control over recommendations shared by your staff with customers.
- You can preconfigure this suggested items from the menu item's edit page.
- Path to configure : Owners dashboard → Menu management → Menu & Discounts → Base Menu → Edit item

4. Zomato : Accept/Reject functionality for item/order instructions
- To enhance communication between your outlet and customers, Zomato has introduced a new initiative. You can now accept or reject every food instruction, regardless of item or order instructions. Please note that accepting or rejecting these instructions is currently optional for your outlet.
- Why is it necessary ?
- Setting the right expectations with the customers
- Restaurant adherence check to remove cooking requests that cannot be fulfilled

- Order and item instructions will be bifurcated as shown below and you can accept/reject each instructions :

- Also note, that you can accept or reject these instructions only before marking the order status as "Food Ready."

- These instructions will be visible in the order live view card, KOT live view, and online orders view details section.

- To accept or reject item or order-level instructions, navigate to the order live view.
- The accepted or rejected item instructions will be visible to your customers like this :

5. Setting up credit limit for customers :
- We are excited to introduce a new feature that allows you to set a credit limit for customers opting for the due payment method.
- This feature enables you to establish a maximum credit limit, ensuring that customers cannot exceed this limit when settling their due payments.
- You can set the credit limit for each customers individually from the owner's dashboard.
- Path : Owners dashboard → CRM → Customers → Add/Edit customer to set the limit

6. Card payment bifurcation in report :
- Previously, the Executive Sales Summary report did not include the breakdown of card payment subtypes (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, RuPay). We have now enabled this feature to facilitate more accurate reconciliation directly within the POS system.

7. Print Expense/Withdrawal from POS :
- To streamline your restaurant operations, we have enabled printing of expenses and withdrawals report directly from the POS.

8. Currency conversion for overseas :
- To assist your cashiers with handling foreign currency transactions more efficiently, we have added a currency converter tool directly at the settlement amount section.
- This will simplify the process of converting and returning the correct amount, enhancing the ease of your outlet operations.

9. Virtual wallet payment method in part payment :
- We have now enabled the Virtual wallet card-based payment mode under the Part mode of payment.

10. Label printing supported for Addon quantity :
- If the quantity of the addon is multiplied, it will reflect on the label print as well.
11. Removing old live view UI :
- We have phased out the old UI of the live view card design in favor of a new design that is much more meaningful and more frequently used by our users.
12. Offline advance orders modification :
- We have enabled modifications for offline advance orders after settlement, provided the user has the necessary rights from the owner's dashboard.
- Editing is possible under two conditions:
- Bill number must be generated for advance orders
- The user must have advance order editing rights.
- Note that editing is only feasible until the outlet's closing hours are reached.

13. Enhanced Gateway integration :
- We have successfully integrated the Enhanced Gateway terminal with our POS. With this integration you can collect the payments from the EG terminal by initiating the request from your POS.
- This integration is available for outlets based out of US and Canada regions only.
14. Invoice amount to be auto-populated : Cash flow
- The invoice amount will be auto-populated now in the "amount received" section for easy access :

Owners Dashboard updates
1. Order type wise sequencing :
- We are pleased to introduce a highly anticipated feature : the ability to set up a custom sequence for each order type.
- This feature allows you to create unique invoice sequences for dine-in, delivery, and pickup orders, tailored to your specific needs.
- Path to configure : Owners dashboard → Configuration → Outlet configuration → Outlet Information → Invoice sequence → Add invoice sequence

2. Section wise configuration of POS :
- To ensure clarity and efficiency at the cashier level, we have introduced a new configuration feature. This allows you to define which sections are visible to each cashier, enabling you to hide irrelevant sections from their profiles.
- This enhancement is designed to streamline cashier workflows and reduce any potential discrepancies.
- Path to configure : Owners dashboard → User management → Biller app

- For quick and easy access, you can now assign addon groups to selected menu items all at once by navigating to the action option.
- Assigning addons from this section shall work as assigning addons under the variations.
- Path : Owners dashboard → Menu management → Menu & Discounts → Base Menu → select required items and go to the 'action' and click on "Assign addon groups"

- Assigning addons to multiple menu items will become as simple as one-click for you :
4. Remove inactive discount :
- You can now delete inactive/expired discounts from the owner dashboard of the menu management.
- Path : Owners dashboard → Menu management → Menu & Discounts → Discounts

- The main restaurant owner can now control whether franchise owners / partners / or managers can access the menu from the owners dashboard.
- Path to configure these rights : Owners dashboard → User management → Admin management

6. Assign addons on restricted items :
- Assigning addons to the restricted items is now feasible from the branch's menu management.
7. Introduction of payment type modification summary :
- For easier auditing, we have introduced a new report in the reporting section. This report allows you to review any changes made to the payment mode after the bill has been printed.
- Path : Owners dashboard → Reports → Other reports → Order related reports → After Print Payment Modification Summary
Marketplace updates
1. Introduction of Benefit Payment Gateway :
- A new payment gateway integration has been introduced for outlets in the Bahrain region - Benefit PG for the Online Ordering Widget service.
- You can enable this integration from the OOW service settings page : Owners dashboard → Marketplace → Online Ordering Widget
2. Reelo redemption capping :
- We are pleased to announce that the redemption capping set from the Reelo dashboard for cashback loyalty points will now function seamlessly with Petpooja POS.
- We have introduced a new option for the internal admin portal users, where they can manage the menu item on/off module for any outlet from the Menu management section.
- To simplify category identification during copy image actions, we have segregated the menu based on groups created in menu management.

3. Maintenance logs : Delete outlet and Closing hours
- To streamline the audit process of support team, we have now enabled logs for the delete outlet and outlet closing hours under the maintenance.
