This document will update you on some of the most amazing updates in Electron POS v112.0.1

POS updates


1. Introduction : Zomato Walker order

  1. Zomato is excited to announce a new feature designed to enhance your ordering experience. As an outlet owner, you can now track whether your online order will be picked by the Zomato Walker or not. This dedicated team of walkers will handle orders from outlets situated within malls or large complexes, ensuring that your food is efficiently transferred to the Zomato riders waiting outside the premise. This update aims to streamline your delivery process and improve overall service.
  2. On the Petpooja POS, you will be to track the Zomato Walker order with the help of an icon as displayed below : 



  3. The Zomato Walker rider status could be easily tracked from the online orders page under the POS by clicking on the 'rider status' icon :



2. Building your Floor Plan layout :

  1. Floor plan layout on your POS are there to mirror the physical layout of your outlet. 



  2. Floor plans are fully customizable from the owner's dashboard. Simply select your restaurant's tables and customize the layout. You can adjust the size, shape, and font of table number, as well as the size, width, and height of barriers. Each floor layout can be assigned a unique name for easy reference.



  3. After creating the floor plan, you can preview it before publishing.



  4. Once the floor plan is created, you will need to publish each layout. You can easily edit, preview, deactivate, delete, and publish the layout at your convenience.



  5. In addition, you can seamlessly switch between multiple floor plan layouts directly from your POS, providing greater flexibility and ease of use.

3. Update in printing instructions for Swiggy orders :

  1. We now display a note above the settings to inform you that if you choose to print only the last four digits, the barcode will no longer be readable by the Petpooja scanner application.



4. Virtual keyboard accessibility on several screens :

  • Previously, the virtual keyboard was not supported on the following pages. However, we have now enabled its functionality, allowing the virtual keyboard to open on these pages as well.

  • 5. New configurations about where to print the customer note on bill :

  • Configuration to control how you wish to print the customer notes on print :
  • A new configuration has been added under the bill printer settings that will allow you decide where you wish to print the customer note : (A) on the bottom of the bill or (B) on the customer section of the bill



  • Path : POS → Operations → Bill / KOT print → Multiple printer settings → Edit printer

  • 6. Virtual wallet (plan-based) bifurcation on POS : 

    1. We will be showing the classification of the Virtual wallet (plan-based type) top-ups on various pages like Manual Day-End report, Orders summary report, and Executive Sales summary report.

    7. Email address based CRM on POS : 

    1. We are pleased to introduce a highly requested feature that allows you to seamlessly link your CRM data with customer email addresses directly from the POS system. You can now also search your customer by entering their email address directly instead of phone number.



    2. You can now easily mandate email address collection for your customers via the owner's dashboard, streamlining your data management and enhancing customer engagement.
    3. Path : Owners dashboard → Configuration → Outlet configuration → Billing screen → Customer → Customer settings



    4. Additionally, when you enter a customer's email address in the POS system and select 'Save & eBill,' an electronic bill will now be automatically sent to the email address provided on the billing screen.

    8. Customer tags - user right : 

    1. To streamline your outlet's operations, we have now enabled a user-right for your biller on the owner's dashboard, where you can define whether your biller would be able to add/edit/remove the user tags or not.

    9. UI enhancements :

    1. We have improved the current UI for several pages on the POS. Few of them are listed below :
      1. Online ordering page's order cancellation popups
      2. POS Lock screen page
      3. Customer's GST information : GST icon will be visible with a green shade if it is filled, if GST information is not available in that case it will be visible with a grey shade.
      4. Table reservation box layout on the table screen has been improved for smaller screen resolutions.

    10. Table reservation cover charges flow :

    1. We have introduced a new feature that displays table reservation cover charges, paid in advance by customers, on the bill print.



    2. This feature will be available once you update the Reservation Manager application to the latest version.
     

    Owners dashboard updates


    1. Predictive Analysis for 'item on/off' and 'item on/off logs' :

    1. With the help of AI-based recommendations and your past history, we can now provide a prediction of potential losses if you choose to turn off an item at a specific date or time. This feature is designed to help you make more informed decisions.
    2. Predictive Analysis can help predict the revenue leakage for the item turned OFF on any online platforms for the last 30 days. The Predictive Analysis gets updated every other day.



    2. Area-wise Online display name :

    1. To enhance the uniqueness of items within specific areas, we’ve introduced a new feature that allows you to configure distinct names for the same item under different areas. This will enable you to present items with unique names across various online ordering platforms.
    2. This feature applies exclusively to online ordering channels and does not impact offline ordering areas.
    3. The first priority will be given to the 'Area Display Name' and if that is not available then the second priority will be given to the 'Online Display Name' to show the item name on the online ordering platforms.
    4. Path : Owners dashboard → Menu management → Menu & Discounts → select any online ordering area → click on item's edit button


        

    3. Virtual Outlet management : Menu management

    1. We are excited to announce the launch of the Virtual Outlet Management System, designed to streamline menu management and reporting for virtual outlets within restaurants. This new system offers a comprehensive set of features aimed at enhancing operational efficiency while providing tailored experiences for store managers, HO menu users, and brand owners.
    2. Purpose : 
      1. For Store Managers : Easily navigate the menu management interface based on the specific virtual outlet they oversee.
      2. For HO Menu users/Administrators : Gain control over menus for all virtual outlets while making outlet-specific adjustments as required.
      3. For Brand Owners : Experience seamless and tailored reporting based on the virtual outlets created, allowing for informed decision-making.
    3. Key features :
      1. Virtual Outlet creation (Individual/HO Outlets)
      2. HO Menu management with Virtual Outlet functionality
      3. Enhanced user interface
      4. Virtual Outlet wise reporting

    4. Bulk upload of Special notes :

    1. You can now upload special notes in bulk using a predefined sheet format. This feature simplifies the process of adding ‘Special notes’ to multiple menu items simultaneously.



    5. Open Item Visibility :

    1. A new 'Open item' option has been added to the menu management under search filters, allowing you to easily identify the number of open items present in their menu.



    6. Menu Copy Functionality Enhanced :

    1. While using the ‘Copy menu’ option to copy items from one outlet to another within the chain, item images will now also be copied along with the selected items. This ensures that all visual elements remain consistent across outlets.



    7. Direct ‘Serves’ Assignment from base menu update sheet :

    1. You can now directly assign the ‘serves’ option to items using the base menu update sheet. This feature provides quicker access to item configurations.



    8. Cumulative Items visibility on web dashboard : 

    1. You can now view cumulative items in the Advance Orders Dashboard on the web, mirroring the current capabilities available in the POS system. This enhancement allows for better tracking and preparation of upcoming orders, facilitating improved service delivery.



    9. Physical menu upload functionality :

    1. We have recently introduced a new functionality that shall allow you to upload/add your physical menu card on the Petpooja's owners dashboard. In future, this will enable you to contribute towards your outlet's online presence.

    3. You can add/edit/upload/remove the menu card at your own convenience.



    10. Add-on item area-wise price update :

    1. We have expanded the Add-on Item Area-wise Price Changes grid to include dine-in areas, making it more convenient for users to adjust prices specific to dining operations.
    2. This addition simplifies the process of modifying add-on item prices for different areas within the restaurant, ensuring that pricing strategies are effectively implemented. 



    11. Export : Zomato ratings and reviews

    1. You can now easily download Zomato ratings and reviews directly from the owner's dashboard. This update allows you to track and monitor ratings with greater precision and care, helping you stay more informed.



    12. Remove orders according to the order status :

    1. We have introduced an option that allows you to select the order types you wish to remove. This selection can be made directly on the "Remove Orders" page, giving you more control and flexibility over the process.

    13. Locality : added in the Orders Master report

    1. We have added a new column for 'locality' that will show the customer locality under the Orders master report.
    2. Path : Owners dashboard → Reports → Other reports → Orders : Master report

    14. Invoice sequence : removal

    1. To remove the unnecessary invoice sequence a new option has been introduced on the owner's dashboard now.
    2. Path : Owners dashboard → Configuration → Outlet configuration → Invoice sequence



    15. GSTIN IRN : Report

    1. If you are using the e-invoice service it would be easier for you to track the 'IRN', 'Acknowledgement No' and 'Date' for each e-invoice generated from the Petpooja POS.



    2. You may access this report from this path : Owners dashboard → Reports → Other reports → GSTIN IRN 

    16. Visibility of auto-accepted orders for biller :

    1. If you’ve enabled the 'Show only my created orders/KOTs' setting for your billers, you now have the option to allow or restrict the visibility of auto-accepted or system-accepted orders.



    2. Please note, enabling this feature will display only those orders for which the bill has been printed. If the 'auto-accept without bill print' configuration is enabled, then those auto-accepted orders will not be visible to your billers. This gives you greater control over what orders your billers can view.

    17. Logs to be visible under the OOA user name :

    1. Any changes made to an item, addon, variation, or store status (on/off) will now be tracked and reflected under the OOA (Online Order Acceptance application) logged-in user's name in the user logs section, providing greater visibility and accountability to the outlet owner.

    Electron POS update : Windows OS - 7/8 (version 108.0.9)


    1. Zomato advance order changes :

    1. Scheduled Ordering Capability : Zomato has introduced a new functionality for you to handle the scheduled orders, allowing orders to be scheduled up to 7 days in advance.
    2. Advance Order Visibility : All future scheduled orders can be viewed within the Advance Orders section under the orders listing on the POS.
    3. Preparation Notifications : You will receive notifications on the POS for any advance order, to start the order preparation promptly, with an automatic KOT print for each advance order.


    2. Consideration 
    of additional charges for Zomato orders :

    1. The invoice will reflect extra charges if the Zomato order includes any additional charges, such as 'brand subscription charge', as outlined in the order details.
    2. These charges can be identified in the order reports as additional charges.

    Marketplace application updates


    1. Captain app set item priority for Kitchen (KDS) :

    1. We are thrilled to introduce a highly requested feature that empowers your captains to set menu item priorities based on the customer preference.
    2. From the captain application, the following priority levels—Medium, High, and Highest—can now be assigned while creating a KOT.



    3. To enable your captain to use this priority feature, you will need to update the following settings from the Captain application settings : 'Enable the item priority settings'
    4. This enhancement ensures that your captains can easily communicate the urgency of orders to your kitchen staff, enabling a smoother and more efficient preparation process.
    5. Your kitchen staff will be able to view the item priorities (if set by captain) in their KDS (Windows_KDS) as displayed below : 



    2. Petpooja Loyalty :

    1. We have introduced a new option that allows you to choose whether Loyalty points should be allocated based on the core amount, after accounting for any discounts applied. This feature offers more flexibility in managing how loyalty rewards are calculated.

    3. KDS : enhancements (windows version)

    1. We are pleased to introduce a new configuration that gives you the flexibility to enable item descriptions on the KDS screen. This allows you to decide whether or not to display item descriptions on KOTs.



    2. Additionally, we've added an option under KDS settings to control the visibility of sub-items of the combo menu items on the KDS dashboard.



    3. To further enhance ease of use, we now label combo items with a "C," addon items with an "A," and variation items with a "V" on the KDS dashboard, making it simpler to manage your orders.


    4. Online order acceptance application :

    1. We have added an enhancement where the Zomato Walker order will be visible on the Online Order Acceptance application.

    Integration updates


    1. Xeno Loyalty : OTP validation :

    1. We have added an OTP validation flow while redeeming the Xeno loyalty points on the POS now.
