Release Note v117.0.5

This document will update you on some of the most amazing updates in Electron POS v117.0.5

POS updates

1. Zomato QR code now available on dual screen :

  1. Your end customers can now pay directly via the Zomato QR code displayed on the POS’s secondary screen.

    1. The QR code is automatically generated on the customer-facing screen, allowing guests to scan and pay their bills instantly using Zomato.
    2. This enhancement improves the speed and ease of payment, creating a more seamless billing process at the counter.

2. Swiggy digital menu integration for dine-in orders :

  1. We’ve integrated the Swiggy Digital Menu with our dine-in system—mirroring the experience of our in-house QR code-based ordering solution.
    1. Seamless Ordering : Your customers can now place dine-in orders directly from the Swiggy Digital Menu. Once an item is selected, it’s instantly added as a KOT (Kitchen Order Ticket) to the respective table.
    2. Simplified Billing : When ready to pay, customers trigger a Create Bill request, which generates a unique request ID. Swiggy then uses this ID with the get bill request API to retrieve the complete billing details from the Petpooja POS.

3. Audible alert for internet disconnection on POS :

  1. To help prevent missed online orders due to unstable internet connections, we've introduced a sound alert system for internet disconnection on the POS.

    1. Real-time notification : When the POS loses internet connectivity, an audible alert and notification will notify you immediately.
    2. Order sync monitoring : If there’s a failure in syncing pending online orders, the same alert system is triggered.
    3. Note : You will only receive this alert if the online aggregators are intergrated on your POS.

4. Changes in pending order section :

  1. We have updated the design for the advance orders in case of online orders. The order fulfillment date will also be visible on the order card alongwith the basic requried details.

5. Due payment report : sorting enhancement

  1. You can now sort the Due Payment Report on the POS, using date filters for easier tracking of due payment data.

6. Live-view order copy option :

  1. A new option has been added to the Live View order card, allowing you to copy complete order details—including customer information, order items, and the total amount—with a single click.

7. Enhanced search filters on live-view order screen :

  1. We’ve improved the search filter functionality on the Live View order screen in the POS for a cleaner and more efficient user experience. A new "Brand Name" filter has been introduced. Both "Online Partner" and "Brand Name" fields now support multiple selections.

8. Introducing customizable predefined timers :

  1. To simplify frequent item "off" actions without cluttering the interface, we're introducing customizable predefined timers—a quick and intuitive way for your outlet to manage common downtime durations.
    1. Tailored per outlet : You can now define and manage your own predefined "OFF" time options without affecting other outlets.
    2. Cleaner workflow : Reduces repetitive input while keeping the interface streamlined.

  2. Configuration : POS → operations → configurations → menu item on/off → settings → general settings
    1. Predefined time values : Add specific durations for frequently used time-offs (excluding custom input options).

9. Quantity restriction for loyalty-redeemed free items :

  1. To ensure billing accuracy for loyalty redemptions, we’ve introduced a restriction on free items redeemed through loyalty programs.
    1. Once a free item is redeemed or added via loyalty on the billing screen, its quantity field will be introduced. This prevents billers from manually increasing the quantity, ensuring that only the intended quantity (usually 1) is billed as free.

Owner's dashboard updates

1. AI Agent : Conversational AI experience

  1. A new enhancement has been introduced Conversation History with Quick Recall and Intelligent Suggestive Questions—two new features designed to make your interactions with the AI Agent more intuitive and efficient. These enhancements streamline access to past conversations and help spark deeper, more productive inquiries.

    1. Conversation History with quick recall

      1. Effortless Memory : No need to retype or remember previous questions. You can now easily revisit past interactions with the AI Agent.

      2. Click to Recall : Click on any past query to instantly view both your question and the AI’s response—making it easy to reference information or continue earlier discussions.

    2. Intelligent Suggestive Questions
      1. Real-Time Suggestions :
As you type, the AI Agent now displays context-aware, pre-filled question prompts to help shape your queries.
      2. Discover More, Faster :
These dynamic suggestions guide you toward deeper insights and related topics—helping you uncover questions you might not have thought to ask.
      3. Quicker Conversations :
Boost productivity with smart prompts that reduce typing and speed up your interaction flow.

2. Settlement amount validation on POS :

  1. We've added a new configuration setting that, when enabled, requires users to explicitly enter a settlement amount before finalizing a bill.
    1. Mandatory Input : If the configuration is turned ON, users must provide the settlement amount to proceed.
    2. Validation Retained : Existing checks—such as requiring a reason when settling for a lower amount—remain unchanged and continue to support a consistent and transparent settlement experience.
  2. Configuration path : Owners dashboard → management → configuration → outlet configuration → billing screen → display

3. Introducing the centralized online orders dashboard :

  1. We’re excited to introduce a centralized dashboard for managing online orders across multiple restaurant locations—all in one place.
    • Multi-outlet control : Main outlet owners can now view and manage online orders from multiple branches through a single, unified interface. This will be an additional view alongwith the existing menu and store on/off tracking.

    • Live order monitoring : Track the real-time status of orders from every outlet and take necessary actions—such as updating the order status—if a specific branch fails to respond.

4. Loyalty Points Balance Check – Customer Login Flow :

  1. A new Login & Balance Check webpage is now available for customers who’ve provided consent to join the loyalty program.
    1. Eligibility : Available only at outlets with consent-enabled loyalty settings.
    2. Access control : Only visible to customers who have signed up and given consent.
    3. Quick access Link : “Already signed up? Check Balance” now appears on the Loyalty Signup Page.
  2. Page 1 : OTP Verification

    • Elements : Outlet/Brand logo, program name, tagline (“Earn rewards & enjoy discounts”)

  3. Page 2 : Balance Display

    • Shows current loyalty point balance, and it includes a logout option

  4. This option is currently available for the Petpooja Loyalty service for international POS users only.

5. Area-wise menu management for the kiosk application :

  1. We’ve enhanced menu and pricing control for the Kiosk application with support for kiosk-specific pricing directly from the menu management.

6. Minor enhancements to the menu management :

  1. In the Taxes management section, an additional 'delete' option has been introduced now.
  2. In the sub-order type section, an additional 'delete' option has been introduced now. This will allow outlet owners to manage and remove sub-order types directly, reducing dependency on the Petpooja support team.

Marketplace service updates

1. Feedback application :

  1. You can now configure if you wish to mandate the customer number for collecting the feedback from the Feedback application based on a configuration.

2. Kiosk application :

  1. Your customers will now be able to apply and redeem their coupon codes from the KIOSK application directly.
