This document will update you on some of the most amazing updates in Electron POS v115.0.1

POS updates


1. Introducing: Swiggy Train Orders and Cutlery options

  1. In alignment with Swiggy’s latest guidelines, a Train Order tag will now be visibly displayed, ensuring that your cashiers can easily identify them on the online orders screen. 



  2. Additionally, Swiggy will provide information on whether the customer has chosen to opt in for cutlery, helping streamline order fulfillment. Cutlery opted in or not will be visible like this :

2. Enhanced user experience : order rejection

  1. We’ve enhanced the order rejection and cancellation journey for online orders, guiding your billers to avoid unnecessary cancellations that may incur penalties.
  2. Guided Rejection & Cancellation : Billers are prompted with specific reasons to reduce cancellations.
  3. Separate UI : A dedicated UI for each rejection flow for easier management.

3. Visibility of item images on the billing screen : 

  1. We’re excited to introduce a highly requested feature that enhances the billing experience! You now have the option to display item images alongside menu items, allowing cashiers to visually confirm products before adding them to the cart.


    This feature is exclusively available for touchscreen POS users and can be enabled in just two simple steps :

  2. Step 1 : Enable the image-based billing option
  3. Navigate to the settings and activate the option as shown below :




  4. You can also customize the image size based on your preference from the available settings : 



  5. Step 2 : Upload Item Images
    1. Go to POS → Operations → Menu → Item Management → Download Images (please upload the required images from the owner's dashboard before you click on download images)

  6. Note : The path to upload images will be visible on your POS once you click on the Download Images button. 
  7. We encourage you to explore this new feature and enhance your billing experience.

4. Alerts on Important notifications :

  1. To improve communication and ensure timely responses, we are introducing a new in-system notification feature for merchants. Instead of relying on emails and messages, important updates and consent requests will now be delivered directly to their PoS and owners dashboard.


    Key Highlights :

    • Real-time Notifications : You will receive urgent updates directly on your PoS and owners dashboard.
    • Actionable CTAs : Each notification will include clear call-to-action (CTA) options for quick acknowledgment.
    • Automated Response Tracking : Your responses will be captured and shared with the relevant team for seamless processing.

5. Split the bill item-wise evenly : 

  1. To enhance biller efficiency, we have introduced a new feature that allows item-wise bill splitting. Additionally, selected items can be evenly divided based on quantity across multiple bills. The system will automatically distribute item quantities, eliminating the need for manual adjustments—simply use the 'Split Bill Evenly' option for a seamless experience.

  2. Furthermore, you can also split all the items under the selected bills only.

6. New design for side-bar of POS : 

  1. We've revamped the sidebar for the keyboard billing screen on POS. You can easily switch to the new sidebar design by enabling the configuration directly from the billing screen.
  2. Path : POS → Settings → Outlet settings → Billing screen → Display



  3. By default, this configuration would be in enable mode.

7. Change your billing screen mode :

  1. We are introducing an option to update your billing screen layout from the current left-to-right format to right-to-left. In this new layout, you will find your categories on the left, and the cart section will be positioned on the right.



  2. You can configure this view from your billing application settings. POS → Settings → Outlet settings → Billing screen → Display



Owners Dashboard


1. Introducing : Petpooja Agent

  1. We are excited to introduce Petpooja Agent, a smart assistant designed to streamline query resolution for users. With this feature, users can directly raise queries without the need to manually extract data from reports or the dashboard.




  2. Key Highlights :
    ✅ Instant responses in text, table/grid, or graphical format.



    ✅ Simplified access to insights without navigating multiple reports.



    ✅ Enhanced user experience with structured data representation.

  3. This enhancement ensures a more efficient and seamless interaction with business data, empowering users with quick and accurate insights.

2. Store rank sorting feature :

  1. We have introduced a feature that allows you to customize the ranking of your online stores on both your POS system and the owner's dashboard.
  2. This enhancement enables you to arrange your online stores based on your preferences, ensuring that the most frequently accessed outlets are easily available at the top for a more seamless experience.
  3. Path : Owners dashboard → Menu management → Online menu on/off



3. Menu management : enhancements

  1. We have now introduced an option on the Menu Management Dashboard to easily remove variations from the 'Action' button.



  2. Addon groups and addon items can now be conveniently restricted using an import/export file, similar to how item-level restrictions are applied in HO Management, making bulk updates more efficient.



  3. You can now seamlessly manage HSN codes tax-wise under 'Add Item' management (Grid view), ensuring better tax compliance and organization.
  4. To simplify category management, you can now upload category images directly from the main category page, eliminating the need to navigate to the edit page.



  5. We have enhanced kiosk management by introducing an option to publish kiosk images across all relevant pages, where needed.

4. UI changes in discount management : 

  1. We have revamped the UI across most discount management pages to enhance clarity and improve user experience.



5. Bill print date & time : 

  1. For easier tracking, the bill print's date & time will also be displayed on the order details screen.
  2. Path : Owners dashboard → Orders & billing → All orders


6. Item Report With Customer/Order Details : 

  1. We have added a new column under the 'Item Report With Customer/Order Details' report on the owner's dashboard.
  2. Path : Owners dashboard → Reports → Other reports → Item related reports → Item Report With Customer/Order Details




Marketplace services


1. Captain application :

  1. We have updated the calculation logic for bills printed from the Captain application. The new logic now includes service and packing charges, provided they are configured from the owner's dashboard, ensuring more accurate and comprehensive billing. 

Admin portal


1. Deleting the virtual brand :

  1. For the ease of the operations team, we have now provided an option to remove the delete virtual brand from any outlet to the admin users.

2. Enable barcode printing from third party : Zomato

  1. For the ease of the operations team, we have now provided an option to manage the barcode print settings (on bill/kot) for Zomato from the third-party integrations page.

3. Add packaging charges from third party : item-wise fixed

  1. We have also added a new option to introduce packing charges in a "fixed" amount from the third-party edit page for all the aggregators.
