This document will update you on some of the most amazing updates in Electron POS v111.0.1

POS updates


1. Enhanced search filter for item status :

  1. To find items based on their current status (In stock or Out of stock) we have created a filter on the item listing page in the POS.
  2. Path : POS  operations  menu management  items management  search



2. Move KOT option for reserved tables :

  1. Your billers will now have the ability to move the KOT created for reserved tables to another table.
  2. This functionality will be available based on the user rights granted to the biller, facilitating better order management during peak times.



3. Zomato Advance order changes : 

  1. Scheduled Ordering Capability : Zomato has introduced a new functionality for you to handle the scheduled orders, allowing orders to be scheduled up to 7 days in advance.
    1. Advance Order Visibility : All future scheduled orders can be viewed within the Advance Orders section under the orders listing on the POS.
  2. Preparation Notifications : You will receive notifications on the POS for any advance order, to start the order preparation promptly, with an automatic KOT print for each advance order.



4. Zomato Train order visibility on KOT print : 

  1. Now your staff can seamlessly identify the train orders received from the Zomato straight from the KoT print itself.



5. Swiggy Bulk (XL) Order Visibility :

  1. Bulk Order Management : Swiggy has introduced a bulk (XL) order functionality, allowing end-customers to place large orders right from their Swiggy application.



  2. Order Identification : These bulk orders will be tagged with an “XL” indicator on the order card in the live view, making it easier for restaurants to identify and process them.



  3. Customer Experience Focus : Given that these orders may split into multiple “XL” tags belonging to a single large order, it is crucial for restaurants to deliver these together to enhance customer satisfaction.



6. Customizable ringtone options for alerts :

  1. You can customize different ringtones for various types of alerts, including orders, notifications, and mark food ready reminders, rather than being limited to a same ringtone.



7. Improved live view order card visibility :

  1. We have made adjustments to font sizes and color combinations on the live view order cards to improve visibility and ensure that staff can easily read and process orders accurately.

8. UI enhancements :

  1. We have recently enhanced the UI for various pages/popups on POS : 
    1. Table reservation section
    2. Reset sync code page
    3. Setup terminal page
    4. Icons for print, export and view are revamped
    5. Live view card header color and font visibility redesigned
    6. On clicking the 'info' button the rider icon and biller icon is now updated on all the cards

9. Zomato pay : discount

  1. Restaurant/Merchant sponsored discount for the payment collected via Zomato pay will be now visible on the order.

10. Advance order memo : 

  1. Generating the advance order number is now optional. If you enable this configuration from the POS settings in that case, you'll be able to create the order for the advance order from the advance order grid itself.

Owners dashboard updates


1. Auto calculated percentage-wise discount on area/table :

  1. To enhance your user experience, we’ve added an additional type of discount on the POS, which can now be pre-configured at the area/table level through your owner's dashboard.
  2. This predefined discount will automatically be applied when the relevant area or table is selected by your biller.|



  3. Note :
    1. This discount can be configured as a percentage, similar to the customer tag discount.
    2. It will be automatically calculated and applied, so there’s no need for manual entry.
    3. Please note that this discount cannot be applied during bill modification, which means it will be applied only during the first (initial) bill print.
    4. When the you press any of these "Save KOT" or "Save Bill" actions, in those cases, the auto-applied area/table wise discount can not be removed.
    5. The new discount priority will be in the following sequence : Favorite customer discount > customer tag discount > table discount > area discount.
  4. Path to configure : Owners dashboard  menu management → menu and discounts tables/areas



2. Bulk Upload of Special Notes :

  1. You can now upload special notes in bulk using a predefined sheet format. This feature simplifies the process of adding ‘Special notes’ to multiple menu items simultaneously.



3. Search open items :

  1. A new 'Open item' option has been added to the menu management search filters, allowing users to easily identify the number of open items present in their menu.



4. Menu copy functionality enhanced :

  1. While using the ‘Copy menu’ option to copy items from one outlet to another within the chain, item images will now also be copied along with the selected items. This ensures that all visual elements remain consistent across outlets.



5. Direct ‘serves’ assignment from base menu update sheet : 

  1. You can now directly assign the ‘serves’ option to items using the base menu update sheet. This feature provides quicker access to item configurations.



6. Cumulative Items Visibility on Web Dashboard :

  1. You can view a complied list of cumulative items on the Advance Orders Dashboard, mirroring the current capabilities available in the POS system.
  2. This enhancement allows for better tracking and preparation of upcoming orders, facilitating improved service delivery.



7. Invoice Report : All Restaurants

  1. We have now removed the web-accept orders which causes the bill sequence to be started from 1 under the bill starting.  

8. After print modification report :

  1. We have added a new column in the download excel that will show the change logs in case if any charges were modified after bill print. 
    1. If discount increase then we will add in after print modification logs.
    2. If service or packing or delivery charges get reduce then we will add in after print modification logs.
    3. We will show old and new value in logs with name.

Marketplace application updates


1. Captain application :

  1. We have introduced few amazing features as listed below : 
    1. Your captain's will be able to view the 'last bill', 'last visit', 'birthday' as well as 'anniversary' of any customers.
    2. Additionally, the locality details entered from the Captain application will now be stored in your customer database.
    3. To help streamline your operations, we have enabled the auto-sync mode under the unsuccessful KOTs section. This means that even if you forget to manually sync the failed KOTs to the kitchen, the system will automatically do so as soon as the internet connection is restored.
    4. We are pleased to share that we have significantly reduced the login time for Captain App users, bringing it down to three seconds or less.
    5. Whenever you tag a customer using the Captain application, the customer tag data will be saved.
    6. KOT creation date and time will be now visible under the 'view kot' tab.
    7. Captain App users will now be able to view and add items with just a few clicks, based on the keywords entered in the search.

2. Token Display System :

  1. Token display system will now also support the management of the Dine-in ordres.

3. Kitchen Display System :

  1. We've implemented a few UI changes in the Windows KDS to enhance the customer experience.

4. Feedback management application :

  1. All the custom domains in the email ID field within the customer information section are now supported while collecting the customer's feedback.

Integration updates


1. Mall management integration :

  1. A new mall management integration has been made live : Havelock City Mall, Sri Lanka

2. Generic loyalty integration updates :

  1. We will now pass the sales date along with the billing data for the integrated loyalty service partner.

3. ADSR Pathfinder integration updates :

  1. As per the request of the third party, we have added a new parameter called 'Zomato brand subscription charge' under the Additional charges.

4. Reelo integration updates :

  1. As per the requirement of the third party, the taxes and other charges of the respective bills will be shared under the capture bill API.
