This document will update you on some of the most amazing updates in Electron POS v110.0.1

POS updates


1. Zomato Train order visibility :

  1. Zomato has recently partnered with IRCTC to offer train orders, making it easy for your customers to order food while traveling by train. To ensure a smooth process, you will now receive notifications when an order is for a train.





  2. We've enhanced the visibility of train orders so that you can pack the food appropriately and include cutlery as needed.

2. Offline Table reservation :

  • To enhance your user experience by eliminating the need to repeatedly fill in customer information for repeat reservations, we have implemented a feature will allow you to select customers from the dropdown while creating a new reservation.
  • You can search either by customer name or by customer number.



  • 3. Default printer settings as per printer type :

    1. We have now enabled automatic settings for printers based on their type. This means you no longer need to remember specific settings for each printer.


    4. Biller wise Payment type rights :  

    1. You can now configure your payment type permissions according to your biller now. This enhancement allows you to select the payment types that each biller is authorized to handle.
    2. Path : Owners dashboard → user management → Biller app → edit biller rights



    5. Biller wise payment updation rights :  

    1. You can restrict your biller to update the payment type at a particular stage : After bill print, after save or after settle & save.



    6. UI changes :  

    1. To improve the user experience we have now updated the UI for multiple pages/popups.
      1. Customer information, discount, tax, call for support, customer history and other pages as well.
      2. We have also redesigned biller's Login screen and reset sync code screen :


         
      3. Category Summary : 
        1. We have revamped the design of the Category summary to make it more easy to understand.

    7. Important Update :  

    1. We will be phasing out support for Windows 7 and 8 versions of PoS, as these OS versions have reached their End of Life (EOL). Starting with the April release, new features will only be available for users with Windows 10 and above.
    1. To help you transition smoothly, we will take the following steps:
      1. Dashboard Notification : A banner have been added to inform you about the end of support for Windows 7 and 8.
      2. Marketplace Update : The minimum and recommended hardware specifications will now state that Windows 10 is the minimum supported OS version.
      3. Separate Download Links : We will provide distinct download links for POS versions compatible with Windows 7/8 and Windows 10 and above.

    Owners dashboard updates

    1. Sales data prediction :

    1. We are excited to introduce a highly anticipated feature on your dashboard: sales predictions for the upcoming months. This AI-driven module leverages historical sales data to provide accurate forecasts, helping you plan ahead with confidence.



    2. Added a new right for export of reports :

    1. We've enhanced the system by separating the export rights from the view reports rights for admin-management users.
    2. Now, if a user is granted export rights, they will be able to export the dashboard reports under the reports section.



    3. If a user does not have export rights, the options to export and print will be removed.
    4. The export rights will be enabled by default.

    3. Due payment received summary on web :

    1. The "Due Payment Received" section is now added on the Executive Sales Summary on the owners dashboard.

    4. Rights based - auto acceptance functionality :

    1. We have now added the auto-acceptance rights to billers' right so that your billers cannot disable auto-acceptance without the your consent.


    5. Auto-update taxes as per orderwise :

    1. We have enhanced our system to align with the order-wise tax setup. Now, when you configure taxes in one area/order type, and the same changes will automatically apply to the other connected taxes. For example, if you configure a 2.5% CGST for the garden and AC area, the system will automatically update the SGST to 2.5% as well.
    2. Purpose behind this change : Users often misconfigure taxes, resulting in errors where only one tax component is updated while neglecting the twin tax component (CGST or SGST), leading to additional support requirements for data corrections.

    Marketplace service updates


    1. Dine in QR - Postpaid flow : Review bill before printing 

    1. To enhance the QR ordering experience, we have added a new step where your customers can now review the items added in their cart before proceeding to request a bill print.



    2. Petpooja Food images :  

    1. The Food Images section in the Petpooja Owner's Dashboard has been introduced to simplify finding and using ideal images for menu items. This feature offers access to a vast image library, helping you to enhance your menus' visual appeal.
    2. Feature Access :
      1. Designed to help restaurants find high-quality images for menu items.
      2. Accessible from the dashboard page as well as the menu management section of the restaurant owner's interface.



    3. Image Library for you :
      1. You can now search and browse through thousands of images available in the library to find suitable visuals for their menus.



      2. Simply choose an appropriate image from the search results, download it to your device, and enhance the visual appeal of your food items.



      3. Our goal is to provide a diverse collection of images catering to various types of cuisine and dishes.
    4. Credits System :
      1. To download and use images from the library, you need to sign up and purchase a plan from the marketplace.
      2. Each time an image is downloaded, a credit will be deducted from the user's balance to ensure fair usage.



    5. Image Collection :
      1. The Collection section, displayed at the top right of the "Food Images" page, showcases all unique food images downloaded or linked with the menu by the user.



      2. You can access all downloaded images from this section without deducting credits when images are retrieved from the collection.


    6. Direct linking image to item from menu management :
      1. You can also directly link images from the Petpooja menu management by selecting "Get image from Marketing Hub." Navigate to menu management → basemenu → click on the upload image icon against the item.



      2. This allows you to search for images and seamlessly link them with menu items, enhancing the visual representation of dishes directly from the menu management.
    7. Access : This feature is currently available only through the web browser. It will be made accessible on the merchant app in the near future.

    3. Foodjam : New service listing 

    1. You can now integrate with the Foodjam right from the marketplace integration section.

    4. Xeno : point based integration  

    1. You may integrate with the Loyalty partner : Xeno to allot and redeem the loyalty points directly using the Petpooja POS. 

    5. Captain application : other currency support

    1. For our overseas clients, the Captain application now supports multiple currencies, accommodating the currency of your respective country..

    6. Scan & Order service renewal : 

    1. You may now renew the scan & order service directly from the Marketplace page itself. 



    Property Management Software Integration


    1. Petpooja - MySoftIndia (PMS) integration :

    1. We are excited to announce the integration of the Petpooja with MySoftIndia Property Management Software. This update introduces a seamless way to handle guest details and streamline operations between the two systems and Smooth workflow between MySoftIndia PMS and Petpooja, minimizing manual entry.
    2. Key Features :-
    3. Room Number Entry :
      1. Configuration Setup : To get started, you must enable this configuration.
      2. Steps to Enable :

        1. Path : Petpooja POS  Setting  Order Wise Information.

        2. Enable the configuration.

        3. Enter the room number in the "Order Wise Information" label.



    4. Fetching Room Number Details :

      1. Fetching Room Details : After entering a room number, details can be fetched directly from the MySoftIndia software via integration.

      2. How to Fetch Details : Click on the fetch detail icon to retrieve information from MySoftIndia.

      3. Auto-populate details : Guest details such as mobile number, name, address, number of persons, etc., will be automatically populated in the Petpooja software.



    1. Order Placement and Settlement :
      1. Order Management : Once guest details are received, the biller can place orders directly in the Petpooja.
      2. Invoice Sharing : Upon settlement, invoice details will be shared with the third party via integration Process.

      1. Streamlined Operations : This integration ensures a smoother workflow between the MySoftIndia PMS and the Petpooja, reducing manual data entry and potential errors.
      2. Unified Sales Data : This integration helps you to share required bill information from Petpooja to MySoftIndia, eliminating the need to maintain sales records in both software systems.
      3. Efficient Order Management : Automatically fetch guest details and manage orders efficiently within Petpooja. This integration helps you to share required bill information from Petpooja to MySoftIndia, eliminating the need to maintain sales records in both software systems.
      4. Enhanced Communication : Share invoice details effortlessly, ensuring transparency and accuracy.

    Online Order Acceptance application


    1. Right based menu item on/off :

    1. An OOA app user can manage orders in real-time and control the online menu availability. We've now added rights-based access to the menu item on/off feature, allowing you to decide whether to grant this permission to users.

    2. Order rejection reasons update :

    1. We have recently implemented an order rejection flow and a rider status update flow for all third parties now. This enhancement is aimed to ensure a smoother and more efficient process.

    3. Zomato : Accept/Reject functionality for item/order instructions

    1. To enhance communication process between your outlet and customers, Zomato has introduced a new initiative. You can now accept or reject every food instruction, regardless of item or order instructions. Please note that accepting or rejecting these instructions is currently optional for your outlet.



    2. Why is it necessary ?
      1. Setting the right expectations with the customers
      2. Restaurant adherence check to remove cooking requests that cannot be fulfilled
      3. Order and item instructions will be bifurcated as shown below and you can accept/reject each instructions :



      4. Also note, that you can accept or reject these instructions only before marking the order status as "Food Ready."
      5. To accept or reject item or order-level instructions, navigate to the order acceptance screen.

    4. Enabling delivery tracking integration :

    1. We have enabled an option to assign your own riders in case of self delivery orders now.


    2. The delivery tracking partner of the self delivery orders in case of swiggy/zomato orders has been enabled now.
    3. Third-party external API communications. (Ex: Swiggy Masked numbers)

    5. Zomato : Cake photo is now supported :

    1. For outlets with Zomato's cake photo configuration enabled, we have activated the Photo Cake functionality in the OOA app now.



    2. The downloaded files of photo cake will be stored on your device in the "Download" folder and it will be stored with the item name and order id. 
    3. You can view the photo cake in preview mode as displayed below :



    6. New page to manage settings :

    1. A new page has been added to the OOA app so that you can check/manage all the notifications settings at one place.





    7. Minor fixes & improvements :

    1. We have addressed and resolved the recent issues related to double-clicks on multiple pages.
