Enhancements to Department-wise Inventory Mapping
As part of our ongoing effort to improve inventory management across departments, we’ve taken the first step by revamping the Department Mapping functionality. This release introduces key performance and usability improvements designed to simplify workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve overall efficiency in managing raw materials.
What Has Changed
Pagination in Department Mapping View
Problem Addressed: Previously, users experienced slow load times when dealing with departments that had a large number of raw materials.
Improvement: Pagination has been implemented in the department mapping screen. This significantly improves loading times by breaking down the data into manageable pages, leading to a smoother user experience.
Category Filter for Raw Material Selection
Problem Addressed: It was difficult and time-consuming to locate and map raw materials, especially when dealing with a long unfiltered list.
Improvement: A new category filter has been introduced to allow users to easily filter raw materials by predefined categories (e.g., Beverages, Vegetables, Dairy, etc.).
How It Works:
Select a category (e.g., Beverages).
From the filtered list, select or uncheck the desired raw materials and save.
Then, switch to another category (e.g., Vegetables) and repeat the process without losing your previous selections.
You can now perform mapping for multiple categories in a single session.


New Option - "No Category": A special filter option is now available to view raw materials that do not have any category assigned. This helps ensure that no uncategorized items are missed during department mapping.
Restricted Fields in Department Edit
Purpose: To prevent accidental or unauthorized modifications to key identifiers.
Details: In the Department Edit screen, the following fields are now locked and cannot be modified:
User
Restaurant
Department Name
