Bulk Recipe Update for Department-wise Inventory

Overview:
We have introduced an important feature to enhance the department-wise inventory management system. Users can now efficiently update recipes in bulk via Excel, significantly improving operational efficiency and saving time.

New Features:

  1. Bulk Recipe Update:

    • Users can now update recipes for department-wise inventory using an Excel import.
    • The Excel file includes an option to manually add the department name, allowing recipes to be linked correctly.

  2. Recipe Visibility:

    • Once the department name is added in the import Excel, the corresponding menu recipes will be visible in the listing, facilitating better organization.

  3. Error Notifications:

    • Department Master Check: If the department name is not included in the department master, the system will generate an error message, preventing the update.
    • Raw Material Mapping Check: If any raw material is not mapped to the specified department, an error message will also be displayed, ensuring that all ingredients are appropriately linked.

Example:

  • For instance, if the Indian Department is associated with the recipe Paneer Butter Masala and the Excel file contains the ingredients Butter, Cheese, Maida, and Jira, but Jira is not mapped to the Indian Department, the system will provide an error during the update process.

Known Point

  1. It is important to note that this change will not facilitate the copying of recipes from Head Office inventory management. The option has not been implemented because not all restaurants may contain the same departments or the corresponding raw material mappings.Also in HO we are not maintaing departments.
