Addition of Other Taxes and Charges in Inventory Modules.



  1. Purpose

Enhancing the existing inventory modules to allow clients to configure and add up to 10 additional taxes and charges, other than GST (Goods and Services Tax), VAT or TCS (Tax Collected at Source). These configurations will be visible and applicable across all transactional modules [except wastage] and their related reports


  1. Configuration of Additional Taxes and Charges

2.1.1. Description

Provide a user interface for clients to configure and add up to 10 additional taxes and charges. These can be defined as either a percentage or a fixed amount.

2.1.2. Requirements

  • User Interface:

    • A dedicated interface allowing clients to add and delete up to 10 additional taxes and charges.

    • Fields to specify the name of the tax or charge.

    • Option to define the tax or charge as a percentage or a fixed amount(lumpsum).

    • Validation to ensure no more than 10 entries are configured.

2.2. Visibility in Related Modules

Description:

Ensure the configured additional taxes and charges are integrated into the purchase, and consumption modules, making them visible and applicable wherever necessary.

Affected modules=Purchase, Purchase return, sales and sales return


Purchase Module:

  • Update purchase order forms to include the configured additional taxes and charges.

  • Ensure these taxes and charges are reflected in total invoice amount.

Consumption Module:

  • Update consumption records to reflect the configured additional taxes and charges.

  • Ensure these taxes and charges are reflected in total invoice amount.











  1. Reporting Adjustments

Description

  • Enhance existing reports to include the configured additional taxes and charges.

  • Update all relevant reports to display the configured additional taxes and charges.

  • Ensure reports accurately reflect the total costs including these additional charges.

Affected Reports :

  • Purchase Report

  • Supplier report

  • Internal transfer report

  • Internal transfer item report

  1. Calculation clarification:


Total taxes calculation

  • Other than TCS all taxes which are percentages are going to be calculated on total amount. (see ss)

Total charges calculation=

  • All other changes are lumpsum so it's going to be included in the total invoice amount.




Known points:


  • Users can add up to max 10 charges and 10 taxes.

  • Other taxes and charges will be lapsed if the same configuration is disabled in another outlet.

  • Other taxes and charges will be lapsed if the Taxes or charges name is not matched in another outlet.

  • This configuration is not accessible from the Quick setting option from each individual module.

  • Percentage of Fixed Charges and Taxes will not be Displayed further.
